Gamer Papi is made and operated by APineda Web LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app and gamerpapi.com do with your information.

The short version

Gamer Papi has no ads and no tracking. Games against Papi, pass and play, the voice coach and Live View all run on your device. If you play online, our server keeps your gamer tag and your online games so it can run matches, ratings and the leaderboard.

On your device

• Coach and voice. Papi's moves come from a chess engine on your device. Spoken tips use your device's built-in voices. Explanations use Apple Intelligence on your device, where supported.
• Live View. The camera is used only while Live View is open, to follow your real board. Camera images are processed on your device and are never saved or sent anywhere.
• Settings. Your choices (voice, 3D, sound, cut scenes) are stored in the app.

Gamer Papi Online

When you pick a gamer tag, our server creates an account with just that tag and a sign-in token. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number. For online and challenge games the server keeps:

• your gamer tag, ratings and when you joined
• each game's moves, players, result, and whether it was coached or rated
• challenge codes for a day, so a friend can join

Your gamer tag, rating, record and recent games (with their moves) are public on the leaderboard and on player pages at gamerpapi.com.

Friends, Game Center, FaceTime and iMessage

Games over Game Center, SharePlay (FaceTime) and iMessage travel through Apple's services. If you're signed in to Gamer Papi Online, the app also sends each finished friend game (opponent's display name, result and moves) to your Gamer Papi profile so it shows on the website.

The website

Signing in on gamerpapi.com uses a one-time code you approve in the app. When you approve it, your Game Center display name is sent along so the site can show it. The site keeps a sign-in token in your browser until you sign out. The website and its data are served through Cloudflare and our own server.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your online account and games until you ask us to delete them. Email support@gamerpapi.com with your gamer tag and we'll delete your account, ratings, games and web sign-ins. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.

We never sell your data

We don't sell or rent your data or use it for advertising.

Children

Gamer Papi isn't directed to children under 13.
